Frequently asked questions
Everything you need to know before you order.
Can I actually wear it, or is it display only?
Both. The shell is 1:1 scale with a sponge-lined interior and fits head circumferences up to about 23.75 in (Mk50: 25 in) — most teens and adults. Vision through the eye slots is limited, so walk carefully. It is a cosplay and display piece, not a motorcycle or bicycle helmet (not DOT approved).
What are the voice commands?
Say "Jarvis" to wake it, then: "Start System", "Open the Mask", "Close the Mask", "Start Combat Mode", "Close Combat Mode", "Shutdown System". JARVIS understands English and Chinese. Speak clearly about 1–2 ft from the helmet; in a loud room use the ear sensors or the remote instead.
Does it need batteries? Is it rechargeable?
The helmet runs on 4 AA batteries and the remote on 1 AAA — neither is included. If the faceplate starts opening slowly or the eyes flicker, replace the batteries first; that fixes it almost every time.
How long does shipping take?
Every helmet is checked and packed to order: 3–5 business days to get it ready, then tracked shipping to your door. Most US orders arrive 17–25 business days after purchase (about 4–5 weeks) — the same window shown at checkout. Tracking can take 24–72 hours to show the first scan. Need it for a date? Order at least 6 weeks ahead.
Is this official Marvel merchandise?
No. Hidden Heroes is fan-made and independent — not affiliated with or licensed by Marvel or Disney. Our helmets are inspired by the look and built for cosplay, conventions, photos and display.
What if it arrives damaged, or I want to return it?
Inspect the helmet on delivery and email us right away if anything is defective, damaged or wrong — we will make it right. Unused helmets in the original box can be returned within 14 days of delivery; we email you the return label and instructions. Non-defective returns carry a 20% restocking fee. Write to hiddenheroeshq@gmail.com first — returns sent without a request are not accepted.
The remote or touch sensor is not responding — what now?
Check the AAA battery in the remote and the 4 AA in the helmet first. Each ear has a touch sensor: one side opens and closes the faceplate, the other toggles the eye lights. Never force the faceplate by hand while the motor is running — that is the one thing that can damage the mechanism.
How loud is the motor, and how bright are the eyes?
You hear the motor when it opens — a short mechanical whir, part of the effect. The eyes are bright enough to show in daylight photos; you can dim them by switching modes or turn them off from the remote.
Do you ship outside the United States?
Right now we ship to the United States only, with free tracked shipping on every order. If you are elsewhere, email us — we will tell you if and when we can send to your country.
How do I contact you?
